1. Our Promise in Plain Words
We built this page to be read. It explains what information we collect when you use The Hub and any BlueDot Hub, why we collect it, who may see it, and what choices you have. If anything here is unclear, write to us. Our contact information is at the bottom.
2. What This Policy Covers
This policy applies to every BlueDot Hub website and page, including The Hub front page, and to any feature inside them, such as the free tools, Group Sessions, the AI Specialist, and Paid features. It does not cover other companies' websites that we link to.
3. Information We Collect
a. Information you give us.
- Your name and email address if you sign up for updates, join or propose a Group Session, create an account, or contact us.
- Anything you type in a message to us.
- Payment information, if you buy a Paid plan. Payments are handled by our payment company. We do not store full card numbers on our own systems.
b. Information you enter into the tools.
Our checklists, planners, trackers, notes and calculators are designed to save what you enter on your own phone or computer, so it's there when you come back. Free tools do not require an account. If you use a Paid feature that saves information to your account, we store what you save so the feature can work.
c. Information collected automatically.
Like most websites, we may collect basic technical information, such as your device type, browser, approximate location based on your internet connection, the pages you visit, the date and time, and the website that sent you to us. This helps us keep the Hubs running, find problems, and see which tools people find useful.
d. Cookies and similar technologies.
We may use cookies and similar tools, including your browser's local storage, to remember your settings and saved work and to understand how the Hubs are used. You can block or delete cookies and stored data in your browser settings. Some features may not work properly if you do.
4. How We Use Information
- To run the Hubs and make the tools work.
- To remember your progress and settings.
- To run Group Sessions and send the updates you asked for.
- To answer your questions and provide support.
- To process payments and manage Paid accounts.
- To keep the Hubs safe and prevent misuse.
- To understand how the Hubs are used so we can improve them.
- To meet our legal obligations.
5. How We Share Information
We do not share your information except in these situations:
- Service providers. Companies that help us run the Hubs, such as website hosting, email delivery, payment processing, analytics, and the technology behind the AI Specialist. They may use your information only to do their work for us.
- Business partners. See section 8.
- Legal reasons. When the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users, the public, or BlueDot.
- Business changes. If BlueDot is sold, merged, or reorganized, information may transfer to the new owner, who must honor this policy.
- With your permission. When you ask us to share something or agree to it.
6. Our AI Specialist
The AI Specialist is a computer program that helps you find tools and answers. It is not a person, and it is not a doctor, lawyer, accountant, or financial advisor. What you type to it may be processed by our technology providers so it can respond. Please do not type private details such as Social Security numbers, bank or card numbers, passwords, or medical records.
7. Group Sessions
If you join or propose a Group Session, other participants may see the name you choose to use and what you share in the session. Share only what you are comfortable with others seeing.
8. Our Business Partners
We have business partnerships with some of the companies we feature. We work together to bring our customers helpful options and, when available, special offers.
9. Links to Other Websites
The Hubs contain links to other companies' websites. We don't control those sites, and their own privacy policies apply once you leave ours. We encourage you to read them.
10. Health, Money and Legal Topics
The Hubs organize information and help you plan. They do not provide medical, legal, tax, or financial advice, and nothing here replaces a conversation with a qualified professional. Information you enter about your health, money or personal situation is treated under this policy like any other information you give us. In an emergency, call 911.
11. How Long We Keep Information
We keep information only as long as we need it for the reasons described in this policy, including to provide the service you asked for, to meet legal requirements, and to settle disputes. Information stored only on your own device stays there until you clear it.
12. How We Protect Information
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, including secure connections and limiting who can access it. No website or method of storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Your Choices
- Emails. Every email we send includes a way to stop receiving it. You can also write to us and we will take you off the list.
- Cookies and stored data. You can block or clear them in your browser settings.
- Saved tool data. You can erase what's saved on your device any time by clearing your browser data.
- Your account. If you have one, you can ask us to close it.
14. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or give you a copy. To make a request, contact us using the information below. We may need to confirm who you are before we act on a request.
15. Notice for California Residents
If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to request access to it, to ask us to delete or correct it, and to be treated equally if you use these rights. We have not sold personal information for money. If that ever changes, we will update this page and give you a way to opt out. To make a request, contact us using the information below.
16. "Do Not Track" Signals
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common standard for responding to these signals, our sites may not change how they work when they receive one.
17. Children's Privacy
The Hubs are made for adults and families. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
18. Where Information Is Handled
We are based in the United States, and information may be processed and stored in the United States and in other places where our service providers operate.
19. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we will make it easy to see.
